Outreach

12/17/20 I just became a member of Pathways to Science.org

The organization is part of the Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP). The mission of IBP is “to increase diversity in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce. We design and implement strategies to increase access to STEM education, funding, and careers, with special emphasis on reaching and supporting individuals from underserved communities and underrepresented groups, including underrepresented minorities, women, persons with disabilities, first generation college students, and students from underserved communities.”

4/5/20 This is where I talk about outreach.

In addition to mentoring several high school students, I have visited both high school and elementary school classes across New York State to talk about topics in biological anthropology including human evolution, functional morphology, bipedalism, and forensic anthropology.

Most recently, I been involved with the Expanding Your Horizons program in Chicago.
